I am one of the elders here at the Madera congregation. I did not grow up in the church and had only the slightest of faith in Jesus. I was given my first Bible by a good friend as I left for basic training for the Army Reserves but I gained a greater understanding and love of Jesus through my wife Kellie and her grandmother Dorotha. It took a couple years but God's word changed my life. Since I was baptized for the forgiveness of my sins (Acts 2:38), I have studied with several powerful teachers and preachers and learned a great deal from the faithful women in my life as well. The more I learn, the more I realize how little I really know about God. Whenever I study the Bible, I seek to understand what God is trying to tell me for my life. I try to make those points in classes I teach too. It is my hope that you will be encouraged by my writings and may see at least a glimpse of Jesus in my life.

We’ve Hired a Minister

We are excited to announce we have hired a new minister! Esequiel (Zeke) Banda and his wife Rose are traveling from Mineola, TX and should arrive September 1. Zeke has been preaching in some capacity at various locations since 1994. We hope you'll join us in welcoming the Banda's to Madera and to our congregation.
